Pending Tasks in SourceLink

When client data securely comes into SourceLink from a web intake, survey, and/or e-mail, a Pending Task is created. Clients in the Pending Task table are NOT included in any SourceLink reports until they are accepted into the SourceLink system.

When the Pending Tasks list goes over ~50, it will take significant time to accept the tasks into SourceLink. It is critically important that you create and enforce an organizational policy to reduce and accept as many pending tasks as possible on at least a weekly basis.

Automatically Accept Pending Tasks

To support affiliates with managing the Pending Tasks workflow, it is possible to automatically have SourceLink accept email Pending Tasks that come in. To set this up, click on your name in the top right, then click on My Profile. On your user settings page, scroll down to the option to ‘Allow Pending Tasks to Automatically Accept’, check this box to turn on the feature, and click the Submit button at the top. This should be done for every user who will be sending e-mails to the SourceLink system.
