Image Upload Recommendations

This policy aims to guide users in uploading images that are optimized for website performance, specifically focusing on achieving the best visual results without compromising site speed.

  • Thumbnail Images: These images are typically used for previews and smaller displays. Recommended dimension: 640 x 360 pixels (16:9 aspect ratio)
  • Medium Images: Ideal for content within posts or as secondary images on pages. Recommended dimension: 1280 x 720 pixels (16:9 aspect ratio).
  • Large Images: Best used for feature images or primary visuals on pages. Recommended dimension: 1920 x 1080 pixels (16:9 aspect ratio).

2. Size Limits:

Maximum File Size: To ensure quick loading times and maintain site performance, images should not exceed 150 KB regardless of their dimensions.

3. File Format:

  • Preferred Formats: JPEG (for photos), PNG (for graphics with fewer colors), and GIF (for animations). JPEG is recommended for its balance of quality and file size.

4. Image Quality:

Images should be clear and not pixelated when viewed at their intended size. Users are encouraged to check their images on a desktop monitor before uploading.

5. Aspect Ratios and Cropping:

Images must be cropped to a 16:9 aspect ratio before uploading to ensure proper display and prevent important parts from being cut off.

6. Best Practices:

  • Avoid overly busy or cluttered images, as they can detract from user experience.
  • Use natural lighting for photos to enhance clarity and color accuracy.
  • Regularly update images to keep your content fresh and engaging.
